Tai Chi

I am a Tai Chi practitioner providing classes

Tai Chi

Tai Chi is often called a moving meditation and is an ancient Chinese system of exercises which aim to bring body and mind together, increasing physical vitality and promoting clarity of thought. Breathing techniques and attention to posture are used to improve balance.

Tai Chi and Qigong can be practised for relaxation and reducing stress levels, or as gentle exercise which can increase mobility and range of motion. It is performed standing up (seated classes are also available) and without any equipment. Loose comfortable clothing and flat soled shoes are worn.

Classes in Ulverstone are held at 1.30pm Mondays at the Ulverstone Rowing Club, Kings Parade. Classes in Penguin are held at 1pm on Wednesdays at the Penguin Surf Lifesaving Club, Preservation Bay. Beginners and those with previous experience are welcome. Covid safety restrictions apply. For more information or for enquiries about classes in other locations, please contact Barbara on ph 64255275 or email barb3taichi@gmail.com
