The Chats Program aims to help you to improve your health, happiness and confidence and reduce any feelings of loneliness or isolation.
We help you to strengthen your connections to your local community by providing opportunities for you to attend activities, have fun and build new friendships that extend beyond Chats.
What does Chats offer?
an opportunity to receive a weekly social phone call
a monthly newsletter
a variety of regular and one-off activities for you to attend
assistance with transport to activities, if you need this
individual support if you are finding it difficult to reconnect socially
the opportunity to volunteer with Chats, if you would like to be more involved
Can I join the program?
You can join Chats if you are living independently and are at risk of loneliness and isolation, and:
Aged 65 and over (and have been assessed by MyAgedCare), or
Younger persons with a disability and their carers, persons aged less than 65 years and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged less than 50 years.
